A suicide bomber rammed his explosive-laden car into a NATO-led ISAF (International Security Assistance Force) convoy in Kandahar province south of Afghanistan Monday, police said.
"The attack occurred at 08:00 a.m. local time on a road leading to Kandahar airport located in eastern part of the Kandahar city, the capital of Kandahar province," Fazil Mohammad Shirzad, the deputy police chief in the province told Xinhua.
However, he declined to say if there were any casualties on the troops, saying ISAF forces cordoned off the area.
Meanwhile, eye witnesses at the site of incident said that two passersby were killed in the blast.
