A senior official of the Communist Party of China (CPC) left here Wednesday for an Asian party conference in Nepal, said the International Department under the CPC Central Committee.
Liu Jieyi, vice head of the department, will attend the 12th meeting of the standing committee of the International Conference of Asian Political Parties (ICAPP) in Nepal, and visit Bangladesh and Thailand, according to the department.
Liu's trip is at the invitation of the standing committee of the ICAPP,
Bangladesh Awami League and Thai Democrat Party.
The ICAPP was set up in 2000 to serve as a platform for exchange and dialogue among Asian political parties and organizations.
