Indian oil depot fire kills 13

Thirteen people were killed and over 150 injured in an oil depot fire which broke out Thursday evening in the northern Indian city of Jaipur, police said Friday.

Huge flames are seen coming out of an oil depot, in Jaipur, India, Thursday, Oct. 29, 2009. At least 13 people have been killed and over 150 injured as a fire engulfed an oil depot in western India Thursday, a local official said.[Xinhua] 

The fire broke out when petrol was being transferred from the depot to a pipeline, which apparently had a leak, said police.

Police have evacuated the people living in nearby villages and several colleges.
