China on Wednesday expressed "firm opposition" to a U.S. report on religious situation in China.
The U.S. State Department on Monday released its annual international religious freedom report which continued to include China on a list of "Countries of Particular Concern."
Chinese citizens of all ethnic groups enjoyed full freedom of religious belief protected by law, Foreign Ministry spokesman Ma Zhaoxu said when asked to comment on the report.
The report turned a blind eye to the facts and interfered in China's internal affairs, Ma said.
China urged the United States to stop such behavior and do something that benefited bilateral relations, he said.
