At least 18 people were killed Friday when a marriage party bus hit a landmine in Pakistan's tribal area of Mohmand Agency, according to local TV reports.
The private Geo TV reported that a marriage party bus hit an anti-tank mine planted by militants in Lakro, a town in Mohmand.
Eighteen persons including women and children were killed in the incident whereas four women and two men were injured, who have been rushed to a hospital.
The military operation is underway in the Mohmand tribal agency and militants planted the mine to target army convoys.
