At least 11 people died and 30 more were injured on Sunday when an inter-city bus ran off the road and turned over in Peru's plateau region.
The injured, many of whom were badly hurt, were taken to hospital by highway police and fire brigades.
The bus, with 50 people on board, was traveling from Punto-Cusco, 1,300 kilometers southeast of capital Lima.
Initial investigation showed that the driver probably flaked out and lost control of the bus on the road close to Calapuja, a town in Puno department province Lampa.
