Laotian President Choummaly Saygnasone left Beijing on Sunday, concluding his eight-day working visit to China.
During his stay in Beijing, Choummaly met with Chinese President Hu Jintao, Premier Wen Jiabao and Vice President Xi Jinping. The two states agreed to establish a comprehensive strategic partnership and pledged to promote cooperation in various fields.
Choummaly, also secretary general of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party Central Committee, came to China at the invitation of Hu Jintao.
