Switzerland has offered to mediate with the DPRK as tensions continue to rise on the Korean peninsula.

A Swiss foreign ministry spokeswoman says it has made contact with the DPRK authorities, but there are currently no plans for any talks. Neutral Switzerland often mediates in international conflicts or hosts peace talks, and has been involved in more than 15 series of peace negotiations in the past seven years.
