South Korea is continuing with military drills in the border town of Paju. South Korean soldiers rehearsed their military readiness and fired self-propelled artillery.

The drills which began Monday are being conducted with the US military and have been called Exercise "Key Resolve". The war simulations have continued despite recent threats from the Democratic People's Republic of Korea or the DPRK to end the armistice agreement with South Korea.

Reaffirming its stance against the DPRK, the South Korean Foreign Ministry has urged North Korea to withdraw that statment saying it poses a threat to the stability of the region. But this hasn't stopped Seoul from continuing with its military drills while accusing the DPRK of carrying out its own military exercise with elements of the army, navy and air force.

"Currently, North Korea is making provocative threats. Under the circumstances, we should prevent and stop the provocation with our strong deterrent. Also North Korea should change its threatening stance."
