China's State Oceanic Administration has said that the country's marine surveillance vessels are continuing routine patrols and law enforcement activities around the Diaoyu Islands.
The administration says that four of China Marine Surveillance ships had spotted Japanese Coast Guard ships and other vessels, declaring the Chinese government's stance on the Diaoyu Islands to the Japanese ships.
The Japanese ships were told to immediately leave China's territory. The fleet also monitored the ships for the purpose of collecting evidence of infringement on China's sovereignty.
