A range of events have been held across China to celebrate the 91st anniversary of the Communist Party of China (CPC).

The CPC welcomed many new members, including Zhang Lili, dubbed "the most beautiful teacher." She was badly wounded when she saved her students from a traffic accident. She joined the CPC today while getting treatment for her injuries in a hospital in Heilongjiang Province.

Many new members like Zhang also joined the CPC in Yunnan, Qinghai, Xinjiang, Jiangxi and Shandong. Feixiang County in Hebei province allocates subsidies to primary-level CPC branches to help their development. People in Gansu, Sichuan, and Fujian Provinces as well as the Tibet Autonomous Region also put on shows to celebrate the day.
