The exhibition opened with a forum discussing the future of the Chinese school bus industry. And the 4-day event is being sponsored by the National Bureau for School Children Traffic Safety Education. More than 20 manufacturers from China and the US have their buses on display - some showcasing their vehicles in China for the first time.

Currently, there is a shortage of transport vehicles for children in rural areas. In some areas, students have to pack into commuter buses which have led to a number of deadly accidents in recent months. The exhibition could be a step forward in improving those conditions. It lasts until February 18th at the National Convention Center.
