DPRK leader Kim Jong Il travelled through Russia's Far East on Sunday ahead of talks with Russian President Dmitry Medvedev.

Kim's train arrived at Bureya railway station in Russia's Amur province in South East Siberia, where he was welcomed by officials and treated to Russia's traditional food.
During his tour, the DPRK leader visited a hydro-electric power plant and its 139-metre dam on the Bureya River. Kim's trip to Russia, which is his first since 2002, comes amid signs that the DPRK is increasing efforts to secure aid and restart stalled six-nation disarmament negotiations. Russia announced on Friday that it was providing food assistance to DPRK.
