In honor of the 90th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, "The Founding of a Party" is about to hit the big screen on Wednesday. A young cast presents their interpretation of the pioneers of China's Communist Party. Now, let's take a look at the behind scenes story of the film.

This is director Han Sanping, he is strict with every detail of the footage and setting. Director Huang Jianxin also revised the scrip. The star-studded historical and political blockbuster has gathered an A-list cast consisting of 178 celebrities from the Chinese mainland, Taiwan and Hong Kong.

During the shooting time, famous director Chen Kaige and Jiang Wen as well as senior actors Ge You and Lü Liangwei also came to visit the whole crew. The actors enjoyed their time in the group and the barbecue seemed to be a really happy time together. Some of them celebrated their good friends' birthday and the whole crew acted like one big family.

Director Huang Jianxing believes this new epic has something different to offer in terms of its story-telling rather than a historic documentary. "The Founding of a Party" hits cinemas throughout China on June 15th.
