Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao has begun his two-day visit to Indonesia after finishing his tour to Malaysia.
Premier Wen was welcomed to Jakarta by Indonesian Foreign Minister Marty Natalegawa and other officials. In a written statement delivered at the airport, Wen lauded ties between the two countries, saying that his visit aims to deepen mutual trust and expand regional cooperation in various fields.
During his visit, Wen will hold talks with Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono. The two countries are expected to sign a series of agreements. Wen is also scheduled to visit the University of Al Azhar Indonesia, where he will deliver a speech to students.
