Former Egyptian president Hosni Mubarak and his two sons are to face formal questioning over accusations regarding the use of force against protestors during the anti-government demonstrations that ultimately led to the end of his rule.
The country's attorney general has decided to summon the former leader and his sons, Alaa and Gamal, who will also be questioned over alleged corruption.
Mubarak and his family are banned from traveling abroad and their assets have been frozen.
Various reports on the personal wealth of Mubarak emerged during and after the protests. Perceived corruption at the highest level was one of the major causes of the protests.
