Now, we head back to the United States where... One-hundred-fourteen-year-old Besse Cooper is now the world's oldest person according to Guinness World Records.
It is reported that the organization made the certification on Thursday in a small ceremony. At her side was her 75-year-old son, Sid Cooper.
Cooper was born in Tennessee on August 26th, 1896 during the second term of President Grover Cleveland. Cooper became the world's oldest person after Eunice G. Sanborn of Texas passed away.
