Japanese troops have rescued a 60-year-old survivor floating out to sea on his roof top, when Friday's massive tsunami struck.
Hiro-mitsu Shin-kawa was pulled from the waters late Sunday, after being spotted, flapping, a red cloth. He was 15 kilometers offshore, near the town of Mina-mi-soma. He says a tidal wave hit when him and his wife returned home, to gather some things, after the quake.
SHE was unfortunately swept away and HE was airlifted to hospital, and is said to be in good condition now. More than 1,400 people were killed during the twin catastrophes. Hundreds more, remain missing.
