We begin with an update from the Flood Control and Drought Relief Headquarters on the severe winter drought that have gripped large parts of Northern China for at least three months.

The two days of precipitation that started Wednesday has eased the spring drought to some extent.

Statistics show that the amount of farmland affected by the drought was reduced by more than seven-hundred thousand hectares in two days.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Agriculture is dispatching technicians to 26 provinces to provide expert consultation for drought alleviation schemes.
