Indeed, the models resembled nymphs tiptoing through the flowers sewn onto the trails of their voluminous gowns. The catwalk show finished with a dramatic wedding gown finale - all lace and white florals strewn from head to toe - the icing on the cake for any princess bride to wed this spring.
Stephane Rolland unveiled a spicy, vibrant collection to warm up a freezing Paris Fashion Week under monotone grey skies. Dresses were bold forms with generous volumes in hot spicy colors. Rolland brought much attention to the details, adorning every dress with hand-blown glass ornaments, filled with pure gold.
Stephane Rolland said, "It's a very positive and energetic collection, but at the same time, it's also very deep and sensual, with very warm and spicy tonalities. I really wanted an Indian summer."
Despite the rich colors and ornate decorations of his haute couture collection, the demure Paris designer has a new project he is trying to stitch up. Rolland is preparing to release his first ready-to-wear collection, probably during 2012.
