Russian President Dmitry Medvedev has addressed the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switerland, calling on the International Monetary Fund to include the currencies of leading emerging economies, known as BRICS, in its special drawing rights.
The BRIC countries consist of Brazil, Russia, India and China. Medvedev made the remarks, following the IMF's review of its global accounting unit, which failed to include BRIC currencies,--- including South Africa--- alongside those of developed economies.
