We begin in London, where visiting Chinese Vice Premier Li Keqiang has met with British Prime Minister David Cameron. The two discussed bilateral ties during their meeting at Number 10 Downing Street.
Li Keqiang noted that the development of Sino-British relations has maintained solid momentum since Britain's coalition government took office last year.
He praised Cameron's government for continuing to pursue a positive China policy, saying that bilateral relations have enjoyed a smooth transition and sustainable development.
In November 2010, Cameron led the largest-ever British business delegation to China. Leaders of both countries reached important consensus on further enhancing mutual political trust and promoting cooperation in various fields.
Economic and trade cooperation between Britain and China has boomed in recent years. Bilateral trade topped 40 billion US dollars between January and October last year, an increase of 30 percent year-on-year.
Earlier in the day, Li met with Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg. The Chinese Vice Premier is also expected to meet with Chancellor of the Exchequer George Osborne and Foreign Secretary William Hague.
The two sides signed a series of agreements on economic and trade cooperation. So far, China and Britain have inked about 4.7 billion US dollars' worth of business deals during Li's visit to Britain.
Britain is the last leg of Li's three-nation European tour, which has already taken him to Spain and Germany.
