Most parts of northern and western China will experience wind gusts and lower temperatures over the coming three days. In some parts, the temperature drops will be as much as 12 to 14 degrees Celsius. The fresh round of harsh weather comes as parts of the north are still digging out of the last snowstorm.

Snowfall and dropping temperatures have caused havoc to traffic across northern China.

In Weihai, eastern Shandong province, heavy snowfall clouded the city in white and reduced visibility to less than 100 meters. Vehicles had to turn on their front lights to snake along in the daytime. Many people were forced to walk to work due to the difficult road conditions.

In Xinjiang Uygar Autonomous Region, heavy snow closed parts of highways. In some areas, the snow on the roads was as thick as ten centimeters, heavily influencing local traffic.

Northeastern Liaoning province has seen sharp temperatures drops every ten days on average, giving locals no break from the bitter cold.

Meanwhile, in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, three consecutive snowfalls have reduced local traffic. But some say the snow could play a positive role in curbing spring sandstorms.

In the coming three days, more snow is expected in China's western and northern regions. Some provinces in northeast China will even experience blizzards. Southwest China will be hit by rain.
