In Mexico's most violent city, Ciudad Juarez, eight people were killed in less than an hour in two separate gang violence. The first of Tuesday's crimes took place in a neighborhood located to the south east of the city. Four youngsters were forced to their knees and shot in cold blood.
Authorities found more than 50 used casings from an AK-47 weapon on the ground. Meanwhile in a separate incident, two people were shot dead outside a food restaurant. The armed men then walked into the restaurant and shot and killed the owner and a policeman.
Eight streets surrounding the crime scene were cordoned off by police. More than seven-thousand people have died in drug violence in and around Ciudad Juarez since 2008. Efforts to contain the spiraling violence have so far failed.
