Founder of WikiLeaks Julian Assange has been arrested by British police over sexual assault claims in Sweden.

Britain's Sky news says officers from Scotland Yard detained the 39-year-old Australian at about 9:30 a.m. Britain had received a European arrest warrant from Sweden on Monday. Two women in Sweden have accused Assange of sexually attacking them when he visited the country in August. Assange denies the claims. Assange is expected to appear in a court in Britain.
