Compared with the Copenhagen climate change conference, Cancun has started slowly and less dramatically. There has been significant leak of information, such as last year’s Danish text leak, and no climate gate debate.

In Cancun, things are going slowly, but there are lots of practical discussions about how to put forward the negotiated text. The good thing is that people are really talking about the details, but the worry is whether there are enough intentions to move the task forward to be able agree on the outcomes.
