Developers may be bearish, but prices in the property sector are still hot. In major cities across China, home prices continued to rise in November. That's according to a monthly sample survey of one hundred cities, conducted by the China Index Academy.

According to the survey, the average price of 100 cities stood at around 8500 yuan per square meter, representing a rise of 8 tenths of a percent compared with the previous month. From the 100 cities, over 86 saw prices rise while the remaining were down.

Shenzhen ranked first in terms of high prices with an average of 24600 yuan per square meter. Other first tier cities including Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou were also among the top ten most expensive.
