She chuckles at the thought of being referred to as the Chinese equivalent of Michelle Wie, but young Yan Jing has burst onto the golfing scene at the Guangzhou games. Barely a teenager, Yan has already become China's most decorated female golfer in Asian Games history. Jonas Gilbart caught up with the new princess of the 18th.

Golf fans, you may want to remember this face, as this young phenom has taken the Asian Games by storm.

Yan Jing, winning China's first medal in golf at an Asian Games...and doing it at the age of 14. The teenager, showing composure beyond her years, shooting a spectacular 69 on the final day and then winning the silver in a playoff.

The young stars love affair with the game began early...and she has dedicated herself to the sport.

Humble, driven and focussed...Yan plans to continue to press for excellence in a game that has left many a young phenom lost in the heavy rough over the years.

The future is certainly bright for Yan...but for now, she is simply enjoying the moment.
