A huge oil tank fire in the port city of Dalian, in northeast China's Liaoning Province, has now been put out. This is the same tank that caught fire after pipeline blast in July.

The local emergency response, says the blaze was extinguished at 2 a.m. Monday, after more than 370 firefighters and 70 fire engines attended to the scene and prevented flames from spreading, to other nearby tanks. Authorities reported no casualties, and say no oil has been found leaking into the sea.

Oil residues ignited, as workers tried to remove the tank, owned by the China National Petroleum Corporation, on Sunday afternoon. The previous blaze in July this year which involving two pipeline blasts took more than a thousand firefighters 15 hours to extinguish, and caused a major oil spill in the area.
