As the host country of the Guangzhou Asian Games, China will bring the largest delegation to the event.

More than 1-thousand Chinese athletes will compete in 41 events. Here's Andrew Dupuis with a closer look at the athletes' preparations.

There's 28 days left before the Games open.

The Chinese athletes have all been striving for tip top physical condition.

Taekwondo's newly revised rules permit head strikes. Participants have had to adjust their training regiments to prepare for the new rule.

The Taekwondo team consists of six men and six women, including former Olympic champions Luo Wei and Wu Jingyu.

Luo Wei, 2004 Olympic Champion, Taekwondo, said, In the Asian Games, I will fight for first prize. This is the goal of every athlete when they stand in the stadium.

Wrestling is not an event that Chinese athletes usually excel at. The national team has only won twice at previous Asian Games.

This time, the country's best wrestlers will try their best to improve their overall record.

Wang Xiaoqi, Head Coach, Chinese Male Classic Wrestling Team, said, We hope to win two gold medals as well as two or three bronze medals. At least, we have chance to win one gold medal.

Athletes are working hard in the hope they make good at the event held only every four years. We will indeed keep our fingers crossed for them.
