On the sidelines of the 2010 Summer Davos Forum, Premier Wen Jiabao has made an inspection tour in Tianjin. He urged the Binhai New Area of the coastal municipality to take the lead in China's development.

 

The Binhai New Area of Tianjin lies between Beijing and Bohai Bay.

Covering an area of 22-hundred square kilometers, it is seen by the State Council as one of the country's key economic hubs.

The premier inspected an assembly factory of the Airbus A320 jet. Two years ago, he attended a ceremony marking the factory's inauguration. The Airbus assembly factory has delivered 29 A320 passenger planes in the past two years and will produce 44 more next year.

Wen said, "I'm very glad to see the Chinese workers and technicians have grown proficient in the past two years. The Airbus factory is a result of the China-Europe friendship. We would like to extend our thanks to the foreign experts. China's market is very big and of great potential. China welcomes the long-stay of foreign experts."
