Family members of the 33 Chilean miners have marked the one month anniversary of the mine's collapse. After 30 days underground, they're still holding hope, they will see their loved ones alive again.

Standing on a hill 2,300 feet above their loved ones below, family members waved banners, as they read the names of the miners trapped. An onlooking crowd shouted "Alive!" after each name was read.

Tearful, anxious men and women spoke of their feelings one month into this painful ordeal.

Critistina Nenez, Falily Member of Trapped Miner, said, "We always have this pain. The pain that one feels is tremendous. I know he is all right but it is a feeling that I want him to be here."

Jose Vega, Falily Member of Trapped Miner, said, "It is a very big worry that a month has passed and they haven't reached their objective. But faith has not been lost and we know that we will get him out.

The miners are trapped in a tunnel 700 meters underground and are expected to face another two to four months in isolation. Engineers are working to drill a narrow escape shaft in one of the world's most challenging rescue operations.

Rescuers are sending food, medicine, and letters from relatives to the men in narrow plastic tubes sent through a chute the diameter of a grapefruit.

Officials initially said the miners would be trapped until Christmas, but the government says people are now discussing a late November release.
