Shanghai General Motors has submitted a recall report to China's General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection, and Quarantine. It plans to recall almost 10-thousand Buick Enclaves on the Chinese mainland, due a fault with the safety belt.
Enclaves produced between May 2009 and May 2010, will be recalled. The problem is with safety belts in the rear seats, but Shanghai General Motors will repair the recalled autos.
Buick's service centers will contact related car owners from today on, to arrange free repairs. Car owners can also log onto www.dpac.gov.cn for more information. Alternatively they can call the General Administration's hotline.
