A violent and shocking incident occurred in Hunan province. A man shot three judges dead before turning the gun on himself and taking his own life. The shooter also injured another three judges in a local court.

The incident happened at Lingling District People's Court in Yongzhou City. The gunman, Zhu Jun, barged into an office and shot the judges before killing himself. Zhu, was the head of security of the branch post bureau of Lingling District.

Earlier in the morning, Zhu took a submachine gun and two pistols from his subordinate after claiming he would get the guns examined. Zhu had a son with his ex-wife, whom he divorced three years ago. Zhu questioned the fairness of the court about distribution of the estate between himself and his ex-wife. He was off work for 2 months for what is being described as a serious illness. He returned to work just 3 days before the shooting spree.

The shooting is still under investigation, and the three injured judges are being treated in the local hospital.
