The second round of dialogue on strategic and economic issues between the US and China will kick off next week.
On Wednesday, the US State Department released the schedules of US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and US Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner.
US Assistant Secretary of State, Kurt Campbell, said Clinton will depart on Thursday, and travel to Japan, China and South Korea. Clinton will visit the US Pavilion at the Shanghai World Expo.
She will later participate in the second round of dialogue on strategic and economic issues in Beijing together with US Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner.
The two countries will exchange views on issues such as economic development, regional security, and climate change.
The US officials will specifically discuss with their Chinese counterparts issues related to reducing trade barriers, economic recovery and strengthening international financial security.
A 200-member group of representatives from the US will visit China this year. It's the largest such team dispatched to China ever. Clinton and Geithner will also attend dialogues in Beijing with China's Vice Premier Wang Qishan and State Councilor Dai Bingguo.
