The signing on Tuesday completes the health care legislative process. The reform consists of two pieces of legislation. The core part is the Senate version bill, which Obama signed last week.
The bill signed Tuesday is formally called the Health Care and Education Reconciliation Act of 2010. It's the fixes the House of Representatives made to the Senate bill.
It will make insurance more affordable, raise taxes on the wealthy and close a gap in Medicare prescription drug coverage for the elderly.
