Computer maker, Hewlett-Packard has apologized to Chinese laptop owners who have complained about the quality of the company's products. The US-based firm has also announced that it will expand the warranty period and improve technical support services.
But the world's No. 1 personal computer maker hasn't promised to recall the laptops, as their owners demanded. China's quality watchdog said on Sunday that it had received complaints from 60 consumers against HP laptops and that it had started an investigation.
The complaints centered on overheating, blurred or dark screens involving 40 models under the HP Pavilion and Compaq Presario brands. According to Sohu.com, more than 300 consumers of the faulty laptops have signed a joint complaint demanding a recall.
