China is increasingly embracing digital filmmaking. The country's first digital film festival is planned for Macao in December.

The First China International Digital Cinema Festival will be held from December 3rd to the 5th in the Macao Special Administrative Region. It'll be held in conjunction with the Digital Entertainment Technology Expo. The ambitious event will display the latest cutting-edge technology and equipment used to make and screen digital films.

The exhibition will feature more than fifty digital big-screen productions from around the world. Some major Hollywood producers will bring the dazzling trailers of a number of upcoming digital productions. But the great majority of the movies will come from the Chinese mainland, which is witnessing an impressive flourish of digital movies and animation shows. The guest list features such big names as Jackie Chan and Jet Li.
