Wen Jiabao also called for efforts to fully restore the public services and infrastructures in the quake-hit regions. He asked for all disaster-affected students to be moved from temporary classrooms to new school buildings by next year's spring semester. And efforts should be made to restore all the broken infrastructure projects in fields such as water conservatory and energy in a quick and efficient way. He also mentioned the need to ensure quality in the rebuilding projects.

Large donations of funds have been received from both the government and the public for reconstruction work. And Wen Jiabao called for measures to supervise where the funds for reconstruction go.

Facing a responsibility to tackle both the global financial crisis and post-quake reconstruction, Wen Jiabao urged the local government to promote economic growth and domestic demand in the rebuilding process.
