As the G20 Summit approaches, security in the host city of Pittsburgh is being intensified.

Local officials say they have thought of everything possible to keep the land, water and air around the economic summit safe.

The Pennsylvania State police will deploy 12-hundred troopers in the Summit area to guarantee security, including 20 mounted police, a special bicycle unit and helicopters and airplanes.

City officials have also set up special e-mail and mobile message systems, through which residents can report any problems.

During the two-day Summit, vehicles in the vicinity will be restricted and many enterprises and educational institutions will close. Museums and banks will also stop service temporarily.
