A Belorussian Air Force jet has crashed after an aerial acrobatics display at a military field in central Poland. Both pilots died during Sunday's accident.
The SU-27 fighter plane made a number of aerial revolutions before leveling off as it appeared to prepare for landing. But the aircraft then disappeared beyond a line of trees and exploded, sending up huge billows of thick smoke. Police officers say the two pilots were unable to safely eject and were killed in the crash.
According to eyewitness reports, the jet crashed just minutes after starting its performance at a military airfield in Radom, a city about 100 kilometers south of Warsaw.
