Leon Lai said, "You certainly feel so much after visiting the place. I went to Taiwan a couple of days ago. Lots of friends said Thanks. I said no need to mention it. We will always be together, hand in hand to overcome the difficulties, whatever happens. And I think there are many people who are still waiting for their relatives. I hope there can be a miracle. Let's pray together to get through this hard time bless you."

The fundraiser was headline news for many media organizations in the Chinese mainland, Hong Kong and Taiwan. And several of them gave live coverage of the event.

50 donation hotlines were set up for the 4-hour performance. More than 50-million Hong Kong Dollars, or about 6.5 million US dollars, was raised. And all the funds will be sent to Taiwan by the Hong Kong Red Cross Society.
