Commander Christophe Prazuck, Frech Military Spokesman, said, "A French Navy ship, will arrive on the scene of action, and also a submarine, a French nuclear attack submarine, Emeraude, with her sonar, she will try to find the acoustic pings emitted by the black box, so she will try to localize the black box."
A US Navy team is bringing in high-tech underwater listening devices to detect pinging signals from the data and voice recorders.
Flight 447 disappeared and likely broke up in midair, in turbulent weather the night of May the 31st.
