Naval delegations from 14 countries will take part in a ceremony to mark the 60th anniversary of the founding of the Chinese People's Liberation Army Navy.
The ceremony will be held in Qingdao City in Shandong province, and also off its coast from April 20th to 23rd, under the theme "Harmonious Ocean".
Naval vessels from Mexico, Pakistan, Australia, Canada and the US have arrived at Qingdao. Visiting ships will observe a naval parade of about 20 Chinese warships and attend an international fleet review in the waters southeast of the city.
Senior naval officials from several countries are set to attend the ceremony. They say it's an opportunity to learn more about the Chinese Navy.
