On February 1st, the medical team with the naval fleet operated on an injured Hong Kong sailor. The team also left enough medical supplies to treat the victim's wound.

February 16th was the busiest day for the task force. They ensured the safety of 13 merchant ships, the biggest group they'd ever escorted.
