U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton will visit Asia on her first official overseas tour in mid February.
The US State Department says the one week trip from February 15th through 22nd will stop in Japan, Indonesia, the Republic of Korea and China. It says issues such as the ongoing global financial crisis and climate change will be on top of her agenda.
The state department confirmed that the Korean Peninsula nuclear issue would be discussed in talks between Clinton and senior officials from the three East Asian nations, which are all participating in the six-party talks mechanism.
