108 flights between the mainland and Taiwan will be in service next week. This marks the first time flights will reach the weekly upper limit agreed between the two sides.
Since direct cross-Strait flights were launched on December 15th, the number of flights per week have totaled 101, 106 and 107 over the past three weeks. From December 15th to 28th, the average occupancy rate of direct flights was 72.3%. That figure is expected to rise as the Lunar New Year approaches.
The mainland plans to starting operating direct flights to and from Changsha starting from January 15th, making it the 18th mainland destination so far.
