In Brazil, thousands of people gathered along Rio de Janeiro's famous Copacabana beach on Saturday night, to watch the city's annual Illuminated Christmas parade.
The parade included 13 floats and 13 giant dolls, along with nearly three-hundred performers which brought several holiday themes to life in front of a delighted crowd.
At least 200-thousand children and adults gathered along Atlantica Avenue to wave at the artists and sing along with Christmas songs.
The parade - now in its third year - is one of several December holiday traditions involving Rio's most famous beach.
The most renowned event is New Year's Eve, which is known worldwide for its spectacular fireworks.
