The Exhibition called "From Lausanne to Beijing", acknowledges its debt to its precursor, "The International Tapestry Art Biennale Exhibition."

Han Liying is a teacher from Tianjin Fine Art Academy. She and her students created this work woven with yarns and wool. It expresses the ideas of past, present and future.

Han Liying said, "My students and I have participated in several sessions of the event. I look forward to seeing all the exhibits from China and abroad at each successive session. There're always surprises in appearance, materials and content."

The Fiber Art Biennale will have two branch exhibitions. One will be in Shanghai. Another will be at a Beijing home decor store, which features fiber art.
