In badminton, local favorite Bao Chunlai has claimed his first victory after the Beijing Olympics by beating Boonsak Ponsana of Thailand at the Badminton China Masters.

Spectators might not have been familiar with the Bao Chunlai on Wednesday. The baldheaded Bao hopes to make some kind of breakthrough with this new image. But the first game did not go as he expected: Bao seized on his opponent's errors to narrowly win it 22-20.
